Sigma Nu, committed to its founding principles of LOVE, TRUTH, and HONOR, has stood firm behind its values since its founding in 1869 at the Virginia Military Institute.

We are looking for outstanding gentlemen who want to get involved on campus, gain valuable leadership skills and training, develop themselves personally and professionally, create meaningful and lifelong relationships, and get the absolute most out of their college experience. What can Sigma Nu offer you?

1. Based on the principles of Love, Truth, and Honor... Our brotherhood promotes unity no matter how large and diverse our chapter becomes. Sigma Nu, above all, is a brotherhood. The friendships and memories we form here last a lifetime. Fraternity, for us, is all about supporting one another, and working together to build a powerful collegiate experience. Sigma Nu is not just four years, it’s for life.
2. Networking. Sigma Nu is an international fraternity spanning the United States and Canada with over 180 active chapters and over 160,000 living alumni. We were founded nearly 140 years ago, living our three core ideals of Love, Honor and Truth. Brothers from Sigma Nu have helped shape and change many aspects of our country today and are found in prominent leadership positions in the fields of business, entertainment, military, athletics, and government just to name a few. Perhaps one of the most noteworthy members of the Eta Tau Chapter is esteemed alumni Jerry Fields, CEO of JD Fields & Company and generous benefactor of Texas State University. Since 1985 his company has supplied millions of tons of high quality steel products to customers around the world. His greatest contribution is no doubt the Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex.
3. The Sigma Nu LEAD (acronym for Leadership, Ethics, Achievement and Development) program is the FINEST fraternity education program in the GREEK WORLD. It is meant to orient you with more than just membership as a Sigma Nu. Its purpose is to develop men into ethical leaders on campus and beyond. Sigma Nu will compliment and enhance your other leadership experiences in combination with other leadership development programs, student government, athletics and other organizations.
   Few programs match the quality of Sigma Nu's LEAD Program. Specifically designed with leadership in mind, the Program combines guest facilitators, experiential learning exercises, group simulations, and discussions to help young men enhance and develop new leadership qualities.
   Sigma Nu is proud to offer its members a four-year ethical leadership development program. Sigma Nu’s acclaimed LEAD Program helps our members discover a new level of achievement and grow socially, intellectually and morally.
   Sigma Nu doesn't want its members to develop as leaders just to benefit Sigma Nu. Rather, we want our members to learn how to lead and then join other organizations to help those organizations become even stronger. Leadership is useless when kept in a bottle.
   Sigma Nu strives to develop leadership skills applicable to the world outside of college. Sigma Nu is able to do this by providing the training and hands-on experience necessary to understand leadership. When members of Sigma Nu graduate they are armed with confidence and skills to be successful in any organization. The skills you learn in LEAD cannot be taught in the classroom.
4. Our academic program is of the utmost importance. Above all, we are students before we are a brotherhood and academics are taken very seriously within the chapter. Our Scholarship Committee offers programs specifically designed to assist new members achieve academic excellence. Sigma Nu also offers a variety of resources to help you with you academic endeavors.
5. Intramurals is a huge point of pride for our Chapter. Our intramural sports teams consistently dominate the competition. We reach playoffs and championships consistently every year in Basketball, Football, & Softball. Not to mention we have won Fite Nite two of the last three years (including the GREEK CUP/FITE OF THE NITE ).....and more! 6. SOCIALS. Our calendar is virtually FILLED with unforgettable events like:

   • Boat Party @ Lake Travis (written Biggest boat party in lake Travis annually)
   • NUMEROUS Pool Parties
   • Extravagant Date Parties
